and you ?!? come from USA i think !?

Ben, could you give me some advice to play faster ... my "goal" is not to play like Malmsteen but just to be able to play some cool lick faster .... i worked hard for months with metronom, etc... !?!

I'm from Europe too actually, Sweden!

Have you tried my tutorial on Speed Building?

In those lessons I talk about many ways to build speed, either from really slow to medium, or from fast to hyperspeed!

This does take a long time though, so just be patient and try to push yourself with the metronome. The muscles in your hands take a long time to connect with your brain and adjust to higher speeds, which is why most people can't play like Yngwie. :D But I believe anyone can reach a pretty good speed with enough practice.

Greetings from La Belle Province (Quebec). Glad you found this site, its just awesome. I've been playing guitar for over 40 years and im still learning.

Music is not a science, but an art. If there is one piece of advice I could give you, it would be this: Be yourself. In othe words, although its good to learn different styles from different masters, ultimately you will be at your best when you develop your own.

"Above all, to thine self be true..."
