Dave from MA

Hi, my name is Dave. Yes, one of my fav movies is Braveheart (hence Daveheart).

I am 42 yrs old, have two kids and a yellow lab. After my divorce, I was looking for things to fill my time. I bought an acoustic guitar, but never took any lessons. It ended up sitting there for a year collecting dust. I have been with a wonderful girl for over a year now. Lately, she has been encouraging me to express myself through music and my photography. Have to say, I found a part of myself I never knew I had.

I’ve been taking lessons for a few months now. It’s going okay, but my instructor doesn’t really inspire me. Thought about maybe trying to take some online lessons, and see how it goes.

Welcome to Guitar Tricks.. If you can swing the cost of the full membership, you might want to take a look through at everything. Even hang on to your teacher if you can afford that.. You may find commond ground through Guitar Tricks.
Anytime you need clarification you can ask the instructors in here. Work with the time that fits you.. Or ask thru open forums..
BTW, I was born and raised in Ma.. Berkshire County.
