New player

I've been getting emails from Guitar tricks for about a year and yesterday, on Fri. the 13th, I joined. That's a good date for me. I met my wife on a Fri. the 13th and we've been married 10 years. I once took a vacation starting on a Fri. the 13th and had a great time. So, I'm betting that joining GT on Fri. the 13th will work out just fine.

I'm not new to the guitar. I still have the 1967 Gibson ES330 I bought back when I was 15 years old. I was going to be a rock god but life got in the way. (well, that is the excuse I'm going with) I've picked up the guitar off and on over the years but never stuck with it for long. I always found taking lessons at a guitar shop unproductive and would always get disillusioned.That was before there was GT. I spent a few hours browsing the site yesterday and I was just tickled pickless. (yeah, I'm from Texas) Many of the songs that are on my ipod are here for the learnin'

So, Great site, glad I finally signed on. I don't have the Blues but, I might be playin 'um soon!
