Hello All,

I am looking to get a Marshall 1959 amp...

The Marshall 1959HW is the hardwire model and is no longer being manufacturered and has been replace by the 1959SPL...

I do have the opportunity to purchase a new 1959HW which is a little more cash than the SPL... Basically the HW has been all wired specifically by hand and the SPL was put together by machine...

My question: Is there really much of a difference other than the HW had a set of hands wire the beast together?

If you had the opportunity to nail onto the HW, would you pay the extra to grab it or just stick to the SPL model... And in future, whould the HW hold a better value than the SPL? Basically, I just want to get an amazing Marshall amp but yet get the best investment for my buck with one of the two...

Thank you in advance for your answers... :)

Thank you to the 22 who viewed this post...

I ended up purchasing the 1959HW hardwired model...

Hopefully this baby rocks and I'll get some really good AC/DC and Van Halen sound happening!
