I have a POD pro, and I love it. I also have the pedal for it and it is very versatile. I'm running it though a mackie power amp to a Marshall cab. For me this was the most convenient setup, as far as being able to use one rig for recording and playing live. If you're big into effects, you might want to go the multi-effects rought, but if you're in it for the tone and versatillity, it's the best thing next to actually having all the amps.
