My singing improved after the 1st lesson. I am taking lessons from the best vocal coach on the planet and coincidentally is a tremendous opera singer as well. Wasn't easy to convince her to teach me either! I still miss playing my guitar like I used to, but my time is very limited right now so I figure if I can learn to sing better, it will be worth it....after all it's like riding a bike, you really can resume were you left off. Unfortunately I doubt if my playing will have improved any. It's definately a trade off!
