Hi guys,

I am trying to do the bends without hearing the sound of going down by muting it (see lesson 4 of building a blues lick from blues style lvl 2).

But everytime i do it the string above the one i'm bending gets stuck between my nail and finger (and gets pulled up). So when i release, that string rings because it comes down...

Someone knows what to do about this problem?

I cant see exactly what you are doing so here are somethings to try. When you release the bend keep control of the string and dont just let it go. Also, maybe try and keep your thumb up closer to the frets when you do a bend. If you have a video of what you are talking about it would help a lot.

I can tell you your problem right off the bat, 'cause I used to do the same.
You're not fretting with your fingers coming straight down on the frets, you're doing it at a shallow angle; so when you bend, as you said, the string above gets caught under your nail.
Solution; just pay more attention and actively try and focus on fretting more vertically. After a while you don't even need to think about it ;D

Hi Niek since you are Dutch and so am I, for the sake I will answer in Dutch:
