Hello

I have some questions regarding how to set up your action properly on the guitar.

So i have 3 Les Pauls which i want to optimize by lowering the action on them so they get easier to play and stay's totally in tune. is there any special measurement i can do myself to see if they are set up correct on my Les Pauls?

It would be really great if you told me how i can do it myself the right way, cause i don't have the economy to send them to a professional.

Thanks in advance

I don't have an experts touch or an experts ear but I set up my own and think it sounds good.

I first setup each string so that it was barely high enough to NOT rattle. This resulted in each string being at a different height off the neck (I guess my fret board is not perfect and I am not surprised). So I just raised the other string to match the highest one. Then set the intonation using the simple, open vs 12th fret method. If may not be perfect but it works for me and my budget.
