I reckon there's more that one or two Guns n Roses fans around these parts. I reckon they started to go down hill after they kicked out Steve Adler on drums. He was fantastic and they've never sounded the same since. 'Appetite' is one of the all time classics.

Im a GnR fan but I gotta disagree about the Adler part. Yeah, Appetite is a classic but he was draggin the band down. It was obvious that the lot of them were on drugs (dancin' with Mr Brownstone as it were) and they all got clean except Adler so he had to walk.

They never sounded the same since Adler left simply cause Matt Sorum is better than him. I can't imagine steven playing the illusion songs, Matt did and awesome job, especcialy in estranged and you could be mine. I think the end of gnr was when Izzy left. Anyway, it was like a time bomb, Slash and Axl were never too close, they have the drugs problem, Axl is egocentrical and crazy which used to piss the band members off and millions of other things that made gnr broke up.

Yeah, I was a big fan of Izzy and he doesn't get the credit he deserves. Whilst Slash is a great lead player, it was actually Izzy that came up with most of the cool riffs. Perhaps Matt Sorum of The Cult is a more accomplished drummer- but I much preferred Adler's style, GnR sounded much better to me on Appetite. I'm not sure Adler was dragging them down- I think he was made a scapegoat for the whole bands drug problems.

Yeah, Im a huge Izzy fan. After Steven Adler "left" they got tighter musically as Matt Sorum on drums and Dizzy Reed on keyboards came in but they lost the attitude. But that wouldve got redundant after a while anyway. I reckon they did the right thing. The Use Your Illusions were all part of Axls plan since way before AFD.

Downlaod "The Blues" or "Madagascar". Theyre both new songs, live bootlegs w/ Buckethead. Also "Chinese Democracy", "Rhiaid & The Bedouins" adn "Silkworms", are w/ BHead but they suck. "Chinese Democracy" and "Rhiaid" are Zeppelin-like but crap and "Silkworms" is a techno-rock NIN-type song(probably due to Robin Finck, new rhythm player and former Nin Inch Nails) "The Blues" and "Madagascar" are cool.
