Hi all,

I'm very close to becoming a full access member. The site looks great. I especially like the forum. I checked-out a few other sites, but wasn't impressed.

Of all the free lessons, I really liked the Blues Orchestration lesson by Chris S.

My main objective is to learn music theory. Correct me if I'm wrong, but GT can certainly teach as much or as little theory that a person desires.

My second objective is learn some great songs, all the way from Hard Rock to Classical. This is the main reason for my post. Is there any way to find a list of songs that are featured on the site? Just curious.

Hi shoredog,

Good to have you here! We're currently compiling a list of songs to teach on the site and have to get clearance from the publisher to keep it legal. There are some great blues songs that I was looking at today by instructor Nick Marchant: http://www.guitartricks.com/lesson.php?input=8926 when I was looking for some slide guitar techniques.

I'm going to ask Christopher Schlegel to stop by and fill you in on the theory details...yes, plenty to choose from!

I have many lesson that cover theory from the fundamental basics to intermediate to advanced. I have it all covered.

Anything not explicitly covered in a lesson I can answer on the forum. And probably already have. :)

I love studying and teaching music theory and how to apply it to playing music.
