without knowing a lot about them it seems like with a strat you can turn off some of the pick ups where as the tele you cant add more in terms of creating sound? Arent you more limited with a tele?

can you make a strat sound "similar" to a tele...I know you cant make it sound like one...but can you make a strat sound like a tele if you turn on on the bridge pick up only?
