Every time I download a video, it is in html. I don't know how I view it as a flash video. I am running the latest Mac OS and all components are fully updated.

Did you download the MAC version of the video player from the tools menu on this site?

The only other thing I find, but this is on the PC version, is that if I double click on a lesson I've downloaded, the player opens but nothing happens. I have to then drag the lesson file and drop it into the player window.

Am sure that one of the forum regulars or admin will come along and help you out if that still doesn't work.

Different browsers handle downloads differently. Developing a strategy for making downloads work correctly in all browsers is very difficult.

It seems like your browser is giving the download fiel a .html extension instead of a .flv extension.

So you download slowblues.flv from our site and your browser turns it into slowblues.html

I bet if you just renamed it slowblues.flv that the player would stop objecting.

If you give us your browser/OS version info, we can add this to the bug list and see if we can fix it for future users.

But try the above to see if you can get things going right now.

I tried that but to no avail. Here's an example of what the file looks like: acfing1aLO.flv.html. It doesn't change anything if I delete .html. I tried it on Safari 3.2.1 browser and Firefox 2.0.0.16 browser and both download it the same way.

Thanks for the excellent reports. It will take a few days to see what we can figure out. We will post the results here.

longtripalone,

Quicker than I expected.....

They tell me it is fixed now. Please try a new download?

If it doesn't work, I will need to know your operating system version for further testing.

If it does work, please just let us know.
