Suggestions on an acoustic song?
Very broad question...I know. I was just wondering if anyone can suggest any acoustic songs I can learn to play. I play metal mostly, and lately I've been picking up my Martin to sort of play lighter sounding/relaxing stuff (if that makes sense). I'm not great at finger picking, so nothing too intense with that. If anyone has any favorite songs, feel free to suggest em. Thanks

a good sort of acoustic song is behind blue eyes by the who. if you like adam sandler try mr. bake-o. the chords are simple but the leads arent.

Yes, Behind Blue Eyes is an awesome song. I think the only version I have heard is that by Limp Bizkit.
Also another good and relaxing song to play is Wild Horses covered by The Sundays (originally by The Rolling Stones.) You'll find that song on ultimate-guitar.com

I'd suggest trying Mood For a Day, by Steve Howe. If you're not familiar with it, it's all over youtube. It's a for guitar only, so you don't have to worry about singing ;). Also, if you read minimal music, you'd be able to learn it, as I did a million yrs ago. It's Clap I still have a problem with. If you don't know it, it's a flamenco-ish kind of tune, and every '70s rocker is familiar with it. Let us know what you decide.

Two very impressive guitarists, jose. Both nice to listen to, and stuff I'd like to play when noodling around by myself.

I've always found that Dylan and John Prine songs are pretty relaxing to just play around with. :)

Wow I forgot I posted this. Been really busy. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give them ALL a try. I have actually been practicing "Blackbird" by The Beatles. Has a really unique sound from what I'm used to, and it's not too difficult to pick up.
Also, its a little out of my league right now, but "Bron-yr-aur" by Led Zeppelin is a really great sounding song too. Kind of sucks that the tuning is odd, since I don't want to have to retune every time just to practice it. And the sound is really different if you keep is standard.
