I recently got a Boss GT-6 pedal and I've gone through all 350 or so preset effects picking out the few useful and the non-useful yet fun ones. Now I'm wanting to start loading patches from online.
I don't have a MIDI port on my laptop, so I'm guessing the first step is to get a MIDI to USB cable. From there though, I really have no idea how to transfer them.
Any other Boss GT users out there know how to do this?

Another question is where do you guys go to get your patches? I've found a couple sites with a few here and there, but I didn't know if there was some great place I had missed.

My geuss would be that you need to go to Boss' website and download the drivers and software that handle the patches and use the software to handle th patches. I'm sure Boss has patches on their site as well.

Boss's website actually doesn't have any info on the subject of transferring patches from a computer to the pedal. Actually, neither does the manual. I've found a good program for doing the transfer, but it's rather pricey and only for PC (I use OS X).

I found a program called SysEx Librarian that I installed, but it's not the most user-friendly interface.

Anybody else have any ideas?
