Do ESP's come with normal frets (not jumbo)? Im looking on their site, but they all say "XJ" which Im assuming is jumbo frets.

"XJ" frets are extra jumbo...a little taller and a little wider than jumbo frets. As most ESP's are made for metal/hard rock, they all have XJ frets. Don't let that turn you off though. Fretboards with jumbo or XJ frets require less force on the board to get the note out. Some also say that their fingers don't drag as much on the fretboard during fast runs when using bigger frets.

Ya but I lose a lot of reach with jumbo frets. I have a hard enough time on a regular fretboard.

I love the XJ frets. It makes bending and vibrato a breeze to control, kind like border line scalloped. I was thinking of getting my Dean scalloped since it has large or medium frets, and since I'm so use to the jumbo, its hard to bend fully and do vibrato high on the neck where I do it the most.
