He shows up at rib festivals around here once in a while. Man, when I was coming up, I can remember 'Boom Boom Out Goes The Lights' was HUGE around here. Do you guys remember a Canadian group named Coney Hatch? They had this song 'Monkey Bars' that is still pops up on local radio once in a while.

I saw Pat open for Aerosmith in the '80's....he was better.....It was when Joe Perry was not in the band and Tyler was F'd up.

Coney Hatch...man, that goes back aways.
Reminds me of other area bar bands like Cinema Face, Aerial, Frozen Ghost

Still have Pat Travers Black Pearl & Putting it Straight.

I'm always amazed at how many really solid bar bands that just never quite made it over the top. Here in the 'Burgh we've had a few. The Iron City Houserockers were a kick a*s bar band that just fell a little short. The Gathering Field was another one. There's one local band that is tremendous to see in a tight club but just can't seem to make it on a national level yet; The Clarks. If you ever get a chance, check them out.

And of course, our local hero, Donnie Iris. hehehe. Lot of fun to see out too. You may remember him from a weird little 80's tune called 'Ah Leah..." Mr. Iris was the lead singer for a group called The Jaggerz. They had a hit years and years ago called 'The Rapper'. Hard not to sing along with it when it comes on the radio.

Holy Cow, another yinzer on this site?!? Outstanding! Yeah, agree about big Joe. I was kinda counting him in with the ICHR. But he's done some pretty righteous things on his own (doesn't hurt to have a good friend in Bruce Springsteen, eh?) Oh, forgot another couple of guys: Glen Pavone and, of course, the amazing George Benson....
