Hi guys, Anyone out there who has second rate software or who is thinking of buying something for recording, mixing, editing and sequencing need to check out Reaper. Honestly it has almost all of the features of ProTools plus a lot more, also it has the midi capabilities of Cubase SX/Nuendo. I've been reading up a lot about it lately and just downloaded a free copy from the developers website. It is actually free to download and test, no restrictions on functionality or expiration dates. If you like it and intend to use it for pro use the developer aslk you to send him $120, I think its only $30 for home use - this is at your discretion too.
Check it out guys you won't be dissapointed. http://www.reaper.fm/

My prediction is that inside three years this software will become the industry standard plus the price will skyrocket when the user base increases. There are all sorts of cool extras on the site such as a user firum and apparantly there are updates every few days will more new features and fixes.
