Im sure this has been covered numerous times but what is your the worst lead ever in your opinion. Mine is the lead is Beastie Boys song Sabotage. I think Neil Young is a real sloppy lead player also.
My gear:Washburn 333Dimebolt, Washburn2stStealth, Jackson Dinky, EpiphoneSG, Fender DR Heartfeld 5 string Bass, ESP LTD Bass, Pearl Export Drums, Shure mics, Peavey Bass amps, Crate guitar amps

I think the worst lead work is in "Eye Candy" by my band, the Greasy Knots. I just ripped off the solo from "Get Back" by the Beatles and added some awful tapping attempt at the end. I know none of you (except Michael) have ever heard this song, but someday you will, and then you will understand.

As far as songs by bands you might care about, I'll have to get back to you. I can only think of good solos; the crappy ones never seem to stick to my memory.

I forsee this thread being relocated in the not too distant future.

Lets see, bad lead lines...I really think that Ray Toro lost the plot in "Im not Okay (I promise) by My Chemical Romance...I dont think the song fits a solo of that nature...and it seems a bit abrupt...thats not to say it is a bad solo tho

Other than that I am not sure...I think producers and the like get rid of bad solos before we hear the songs...

My vote would go to a song called "Canyons of Your Mind" by the Bonzo Dog Band. The lead is so horrible as to be exquisite. You'ed have to hear it to fully appreciate the amazing terrible goodness

Anything by C.C. Deville or Kerry King takes the cake for me.

I saw a video once of Fred Durst trying to play a solo.......It was hilarious, he sucks........

Most of the Godsmack solo's always got on my nerves....just picks one note as fast as he can and rocks the wah back and forth....can't remember his name right now...
Check out my band:

i think the worst solo I've ever heard is Come Down by Bush, I realize that had their own style, but the solo just makes my ears bleed. Although I do like the band, that solo just doesn't roll with the song.

Hit the nail on the head right there.

Kings solos are so retarded sometimes I cant stand it, lets just hit random notes and hang onto the whammy bar for dear life
