hey wut effect can you recommend for me?

im so new about these stuff so u better help me :) i just want to sound good when playing live, and i want my harmonics squel louder.. im playing rhythm but i m switching to lead sometimes and i love doing octaves with my guitar

Since I can't discern exactly what you are looking for, how bout a nice modest multieffect unit? You could play with it for awhile see what effects you like and then go get a better quality single pedal or two of the ones you really like. :)

Like he said. It's what your willing to spend.

For squeals, I'd go with the MXR Wylde Overdrive, or the cheaper Boss SD-1.
YOu can get single pedal octavers as well. YOu could get a cheap boss, or and expensive electro-harmonix one.

Or if budget is a problem, look into a digitech rp-80 multi-effect. Not the best, but cheap.

I'd personally go single pedals.

how much do BOSS effects cost?

Im thinking of buying both BOSS SD-1 and BOSS OC-2.. and im not yet sure.. i dont even know how those sounds... arghh need help

and btw how much is SD-1 AND 0C-2?

I'd look at a nice overdrive for nice harmonics...but go into a store and try a few pedals out to see what you are looking for.
