Steve Vai picking
in Vai's song "for the love of god", about 3:35 into the song, he does that wierd picking thing, when he goes FRICKIN fast. is there some technique or is he just picking realy fast? Thanks

Also remember that he's using a delay, that might contribute to it a little.

If at first you don't succeed, you are obviously not Chuck Norris.

are you sure, becasue i saw a video of him doing the same thing but in "bad horsie" and it looks like he pulls the wammy bar back and then lets go, letting it pop back and forth.

what he is doing there is Fluttering the wammy bar, basicaly he flicks the bar by just hitting the very tip of the bar with his picking hand.. this gives that effect of fast picking
