I've just spent far too much of my Sunday evening reading about a new guitar amplifier that trashes every myth that we've been slaves to since forever!

The idea being plugged for years at http://www.amptone.com/#quiet is that guitar players really need a rig that can produce stage-type power amp distortion tone at sound levels that make it possible to practice in an apartment at 3:00 AM.

My vintage Ampegs, (a VT-22, 120 Watt 2x12 combo, and a VT-40, 60 Watt 4x10 combo) now seem seriously excessive! :eek:
