Just saw Metallica in Dublin last night, it was an amazing show! They actually played the entire Master Of Puppets album from start to finish to mark the 20th anniversary - Orion and Master Of Puppets were incredible but Seek And Destroy was the crowd favourite. Interestingly, there was'nt one song off St. Anger played and Kirk also got a few stand alone solos. Great gig, if you get a chance to get a ticket for the European tour I recommend it. Didnt see any of the support acts though.... was drinking heavily at the time;-)

i saw them on saturday at donnington. 77000 people! and i was 5th row from the stage! a guy got knocked out next to me and he was pretty screwed so we had to crowd surf him to safety but apart from that it was pretty damn sweet. master of puppets is my favourite album so it was awesome.

Awesome. Did they play "One" at all?

If at first you don't succeed, you are obviously not Chuck Norris.

Yeah, they said they would be back next year to play live after the new album is released. Now that Rick Rubin is producing and not Bob Rock maybe they'll get a fresh perspective on what people want from Metallica (anything up to the Black album and nothing after)... here's hoping!

As for them playing 'One', they sure did, killer track but it was the only one they played off Justice For All...

Awesome! Metallica seems like they might make a good album. Hearing that they didnt play a song off an St. Anger makes me happy.

I think they play it in standard tuning but i'm not 100% sure. The bass was pretty heavy because i was very close to the woofers. oh and James Hetfield looks bloody old with his new haircut!!! what was he thinking, looked way better with longer hair! but hey it sounded good. oh and the pyro parts in the intro to one was awesome, felt the heat - was damn intense. and then the fireworks were pretty sweet.

Yea I was there too !! it was fantastic I have seen em 5 times.. this was one of my faves and for em to do the whole Master OF Puppets album was fantastic!! Alice In Chains played too their new singer William DuVall (RIP Layne Staley ) was great.. they played Rooster and Down In A Hole among other classic AIC songs .. overall it was a great concert with 2 stages!!

I saw them live about a year back and they only played maybe 3 or 4 songs off of St. Anger, the rest of the time it was all old school. They played alot from Master of Puppets and of course One as well, they love to do the fire show in concert with that song with falling rafters and stuff
