Hi again fellas,
The tracks are coming faster than usual at the moment. My wife is due a baby in three weeks so I have to try an get the album recorded between now and then. This ain't easy seeing as I have to write about 50% of each track in the studio... good fun though! Just a pity that studio time costs so much.... :(
Anyway, here's my latest offering. It's turning out to be my favourite track yet. The same old story applies, no EQ, mixed as recorded and gaps for solo breaks. I have a solo for the middle section but it was too difficult to nail in the studio... I guess I'll just have to practice more for this one!
Anyway, comments and feedback is appreciated. It all helps at the early stages of recording!

Thanks

Forgot to mention, the change seems a little abrupt about half way in, that will be smoothed out when the levels are more in line and there is a solo/melody over it. Also, I'm going to add another phrase close to the beginning to balance things out.
The little solo with the wierd sound effect in the intro was just an experiment!!! It sounds terrible so I'll be taking it out altogether!

definatly catchy. its gotta be one of my favorites. i spaced out halfway thru watching some tv show thats on and found myself bobbing my head as i came back. thats a good sign.

i love the powermetalish feel of some of the harmonies.

dont even have anything to critique really.... its a solid track already, it'll be great after some EQ's.

Wow. Nice work. Im sorry to tell you what you already know, but your at such a high level of guitar playing. Parts of it sounded kind of Petrucci-ish and erotomania-ish. Amazing work!

Sorry to bump this one back but while I'm working on the leads I'm wondering if anyone with drum skills out there thinks any of the drum parts need to be changed? The drums havent been EQ'd yet but the arrangements and beats can be changed easily at this stage. I didnt want to go with the drum machine setup that most instrumentals have so I'm spending a lot of time programing DFHS to make things sound a bit more exciting and realistic. I'm not a drummer though so some parts may sound better with different rhythms. Let me know if you have any comments. THanks again.
