Combo into a cabnet

I want to plug my traynor combo 80 watt 2 '12 amp into my mesa boogie trad. 8 ohm cabnet. I have two 8 ohm speakers in the traynor. I have a hot plate attenuater 8 ohm with 2 outputs. Can i put a cord from the head (set up to drive 2 8 ohm speakers in parrellel i believe...) to the hot plate and speaker out of the hot plate 1 and 2 into the cabnit and original combo speakers??? What options do i have?? Currently im running a speaker cord from amp to hotplate to 8 ohm cab.
