Don't know if any of you guys have tried this, but I wrote a solo in midi format the other day to get away from playing familiar guitar shapes.
Anyway, I starting playing my guitar alongside the midi and all of a sudden I realise that my arpeggios are about 100% more accurate. I wrote the piece at 170 bmp and started practicing it at 150, by the time I was able to speed it up to the intended pace I couldnt believe the improvement in my playing.
Try it, input a load of arpeggios into a midi program, loop them and start playing along with your guitar. I 've always played to a metronome but using midi was the first time I've been able to get that "Michael Angelo" clarity.
