I need a bass guitar to add to my home set up and will probably run it though a Bass POD. I rarely play bass adn am more used to guitar so I want to get a cheap, quality bass that is not overly long. My budget would be no more than €350 ($400) at the absolute most. The cheaper the better once it's easy to play, sounds good and doesnt require much upkeep. Any suggestions?

Look at some Schecter basses...they are nice enough and relatively cheap.

I dont like Epi basses...Epi only does good Gibson models in my opinion...their (new) non-Lp/Sg guitars are not too nice.

Jay Turser makes so nice guitars, but I have never seen a bass made by him, if they are as nice as the guitars, you can expect a bass with beauty and playabilty far exceeding its price.
