is it normal to have high action on the high fret. but have perfect low action on the lower on the fret board (ex: 1st 5 frets)?

my electric is a hardtail so i accidently changed the bridge height, so when i get the perfect low action is want on the higher frets (ex: 12) the string buzzes. and when i fix so that there is no buzzing its back to the high action on the higher frets. the lower frets never give me any problem.

anyway, the question is it normal to have that high string action? because im not in the mood to drive 1 hour to go to the shop and get it fixed up.

do i need to get a truss rod adjustment? or is it just a matter of the height of the brigde?

Adjusting the height would stop it, but as you said, you get the high action. Its best to take it to a shop and let them adjust the truss rod. When I called a local shop here, they said it would take 3 days, so I said hell no. Mabey you'll get lucky and go to a good shop.

so its an issue with the truss rod? not the bridge height? to stop the buzzing and still get low action at the higher frets...

Wow, 3 days? I work at a music store and we get it a day or maybe two if we are busy. However, I will say do not adjust the truss rod unless you know what you are doing. Over tighting will ruin the neck and guitar.
