This is one I did a few months ago.
The whole background is sound effects from a VST synth using music from a previous tune I recorded called Angels that a girl, Tiffany Casto, did vocal for me over the internet. She had a really bad mic to use so I couldn't use her recording so I took it and stuck it in this weird VST instrument that munchies things up... then took the background sound and wrote this song around it:
Here's the original song by Tiffany (which is absolutely georgious btw and something she came up with herself from a lesson I posted here under the name 'soft chords'. I basically told her 'record something that makes me wanna cry...thinking she was just gonna repeat what I'd done... then I got this and it was a totally new melody and lyrics. She definitely pulled it off:)

... this is the original version I did with a fake French lyric (ie, I sang with a French accent but all the words are nonsense)

...then after hearing her version I redid it using the VST mungie thing and came up with this
If ya have High Bandwidth access, this tune is explained in detail on my lessons page.

One of these days I'm gonna find a way to combine all of these takes into one song.
