dude, Mahog is the way...Id say 9 out of 10 (sucking figures outta my thumb here, but this is accurate in my experience) set neck guitars are Mahogany bodied, and usually necked as well.

as Lats said...Les Paul, Grestsch...add most Schecter,s all Paul Reed Smiths...Mahog.

another great body wood, if you can afford it is maple, played a custom built Strat (made for Nigel Pulsford of Bush) with a flamed maple body, was so amazing.
and if you can get a rosewood neck, that is also top notch stuff.
