Here's a song my friend Mike made up while sleeping on the bus. We put music to it just the other day, and it turned out pretty well. The red text will be what I sing (say), and the black will be what Mike say/sings. The green will be the two of us together, and the blue will be what my friend Luke say/sings. I've also included the chords. A slash means you play the previous chord again. The song's called "I Don't Belong in Me," and no, it is not meant to be taken seriously.

Intro: A5 / G5 / C5 / (x4)

Verse 1: A5 / G5 / C5 /
I belong in you (I don't care) (x4)

Break (play intro)

Verse 2: A5 / G5 / C5 /
You belong in me (No I don't) (x4)

Break

Verse 3: A5 / G5 / C5 /
We belong in us (Who are they?)

Outro: (Bass plays intro)

At the end, Luke throws one of his drumsticks into the high-hat really hard. I think it's gonna be a hit! What do you think?

Lets hear it on the listening post...seriously!
For life is quite absurd and death's the final word, You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

Hey Brendon, you posted my song! Did you know that? I can't wait to get it on the listening posts, I bet these fellow forumers will love it!
You go outside and practice screaming. We'll play music while you're gone.

Yeah, that's right, everyone. "acapella rapeme" is in fact the alias of Michael. We are of a band called the Greasy Knots.

Acapella Rapeme...

Ok...I'll acapella rape you, I guess...

100bpm 4/4 time

Octave beneath middle C, Basses start on the A beneath that.
"Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelll"
Hold that for three measures

Baritones, above, starting on C# begin in the second measure and hold for two measures
"weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllll"

Tenors, once more, above, starting on the E beneath middle C, beging in the third measure singing a whole note
"weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllll"

Rest a measure

Basses starting on the same A

Don't you go awaaaaaayyyyyy

"Don't you go" and the first syllable of "away" are quarter notes going A B C# D

the second syllable of "away" is made up of three slurring notes, the first of which is a dotted quarter note, followed by an eigth note, followed by a half note. The tone, in the bass, is a D for the dotted quarter, D# for the eigth, and E for the half.

simultaneously

Baritones

Don't you go away!

Same pattern in the baritones, only the notes are C#-D-Fnat-F#

Second half of "away" will be F# held in a half note which then moves to a G# half note.

But, half the baritones will sing (instead of the F# half note) an F# dotted quarter note followed by an A eighth note down to the G# half note.

Tenors, boom, during all this will go

Don't you go away!
C#-B-A-A-G#-A

The "A-G#-A" are an eighth note triplet

Then followed by the second half of "away"
D for dotted quarter note above the A, then to C an eighth note and down to B for another half note

Then, Tenors
Or I'll rape you!
D-C#-B-A

All half notes, retardando to 50 bpm over the four measures

Simultaneously Baritones

C#-G#-B-A

And Basses

F#-E-D-C#

There ya go, a fancy schmancy acapella rape song.
I want the bomb
I want the P-funk!

My band is better than yours...

Haha, I wish I had the range to do it. As it is, there's NO way I could sing the bass, and the tenor would be hard too. Hell, even the baritone would screw me up hahaha.

I think you'll all be pleased to know the Greasy Knots have high hopes for an acapella cover of Nirvana's 'Rape Me' on music charts worldwide.
