I'm gonna go outside into the nice warm sun with my acoustic guitar.
Sit on the back deck and fire up the barbeque by the pool.
Then I"m gonna sip a few beers and write a song.... take a dip in the pool, then bake a potato with lots of butter and sour cream with fresh chives from the garden.... then munch on my burgers... lounge around and sunbathe.

ahhhh...

Ditto for the sour cream, but chives are awesome.

We're having a party here at work and I get off an hour early! Also, we got to wear casual clothes today! The simplest things excite me now. I'm a sad, sad man.

I've got to go in to work in about 2 and a half hours, find out my schedule, come back home, sit around for a while, go to my music class (which is way too insanely easy for me, but only cause I've already been playing geetar for a year, and I already know how to read music (mostly)) then I get to come home and study for a quiz tomorrow. then fall asleep while watching the history channel or comedy central (which I do every night)

probably throwing in at least a half hour to an hour of guitar playin in there.

Tomorrow I'm throwing some ribs on the barbie....
Boil em in marinade first for an hour, then let em set for 24 hours.
Then have em with baked potato with lots of butter and sour cream, chives and a heart attack later in the day.

After 3 days of drinkin beer I feel like poo.

Next week it's back to salads.

Boiling ribs is just wrong!!!!

If you must pre-cook them before grilling them, put your dry rub all over them, wrap them in siran(sp?)/plastic wrap, put them on a cookie sheet and cook them in the oven at 350 for about 2-3 hours, and flip them at lease once so the juices can flow evenly. Then put some hickory chips/chunks that have been soaking in water for a few hours on the fire to get them smoking and put the ribs on the grill (not directly over the heat) for another couple of hours, keeping the grill around 225-250 until the meat falls off the bones. If you like your ribs wet (with BBQ sauce) don't put it on until the last 15-20 min. of cooking. You might also want to put some more dry rub on them depending on how strong your dry rub is and how you want the ribs to taste. But the most important part of that whole process is to drink beer the whole time. If you miss this step, the ribs will not turn out right :D

Ya gotta boil em first to get em all softened up.
Then you barbecue em for 10 minutes on each side.
Otherwise it's like eating leather.

I live a deprived life where my parents VERY rarely grill anything, and when they do, it's definately not ribs! (my dad doesn't like them for some very odd crazy reason) so I've seriously only had them like once in my life, at a friends house, but they were goooood!!!! another thing I dislike about my family would be, my dad has to have everything dry, so it's nasty, he's got to be the worlds pickiest eater. everything is dried out and nasty, no juicy steak here... only steak that you have to chew for half an hour. potatoes have no butter on them, in fact, nothing has butter on it... and people wonder why I never look forward to thanksgiving, well, it's cause everything is nasty, (except the pumpkin pie!!! I LOVE pumpkin pie, it's my favorite food in the entire known world) but yeah, I'm done ranting about how I've never have good food, then when I go over to a friends house, I take one bite, and I like orgasm, and they are all like "what? it's not THAT good." when, for me, it's better then the stuff I'm eating 99.9% of the time...

end of rant now... (i'm serious this time)
