hi, i wasnt sure which forum to post this in, is there anywhere on the internet where you can confirm the serial number of a guitar with the manufacturer? or use the serial number to identify the exact model of guitar?

i've got a loan of telecaster at the moment and just wanted to find out the model.

also is there any downloadable software i could use to slow songs down?

thanks

Andrew

Depends on the company. It's often possible to date a guitar by its serial #.

I'm pretty sure Fender's website has a table on serial numbers to determine when it was made and what kind.
