is the BOSS MT-2 a good effects pedal?can u get a lot of different metal & rock sounds out of it?basically is it just worth the money?

Good metal distortion pedal, possibly the best. . Depending on your rig, it can make you sound like old Metallica or Testament.
I don't know about it's versatility, I always kept the gain at max.

Anything by Boss is good quality. I couldn't tell you it has good tone, though. Your opinion probably differs from mine so you'd have to try it out yourself.

I don`t like the tone of the MT-2, I used to have one, and I enjoyed it for a while, but I got bored of it. In general, I don`t like distortion pedals. I only use an Ibanez tube Screamer turbo to add sustain to my main sound. But if you like it, it`s simple, buy it.
