hi guys,

this is my first time on here so i'll give this my best shot andtry not to sound dumb.

i have an emu 1010m soundcard installed into my computer for recording. the soundcard comes with a dsp-effects program. the problem is, the dsp effects program recognizes the input from the guitar/mic but my recording software (i have guitartracks, cubasis, and acid pro) doesn't recieve the information for some reason. so the software isn't picking up the guitar/mic. what is the problem??? i havetried everything including re-installation and everything!

if anybody has any ideas, will you help me out? thanks a bunch!

HAve you configured the software and told it to use your sound card ?

The other common fix is to turn up the gain on your sound card.

Double click the speaker icon on the bottom right of your screen.

Select recording and then bring the gain up.
My instructors page and www.studiotrax.net for all things recording.

I have this soundcard, and it rocks. But the software is confusing. The dsp program has a mixer looking interface. on the mixer strip where your guitar is, put in a send to any ASIO channel. That should make your other programs recognize the audio input.
