Playing in front of the amp a few feet away while sitting down, No biggie or move before you ruin it?

Ruin it before you move and sit down...

If you mean,is it ok to sit in front of your amp with your guitar, then yes its fine.
Try once,fail twice...

the only thing you'll ruin sitting directly in front of your amp is your hearing

I didn't think the question was that badly worded sorry. I only play in front of the amp when people are home. I keep it low so I don't get anybody p.o'd

So you're asking if it will ruin your amp if you play directly in front of it, right? If so, no, it wont harm anything.

I saw in one of my old learing books I came across the other day that you shouldn't play in front of the amp, just making sure I wouldn't blow my tube or something.
