slide???

Lately been playing lots of blues slide in open A. It's begining to sound a little stale. Anybody have any secret blues tunings that have that delta, swampy, sort of nasty, voodoo vibe??

No, I wish I did. I've gotten to mess around with the slide a couple of times and they're really sweet punchy. I think it's probably easiest just to use the pentatonic blues scale tuned in standard E don't you think? I know that's the only thing I feel comfortable in.

Tune Low to High

Delta Blues: D G D F# A D

Open E: E B E G# B E

EM7: E B E G# B D#

Open A: E A E A C# E

Bm7: D A D F# B D

Open D: D A D F# A D

Big City: D A D F# A A

Open G: D G D G B D

Open Db: Db Ab Db F Ab Db

Open C: C G C E G C

Open F: C F C F A# A D

So then, do you just tune you're guitar to one of those tunings and play the marked frets?

I figure you;re from the south so you must know what I mean by that voodoo vibe. I haven't tried all the tunings YET but despite its name; Big City looks like it might get me that laid backporch kind of sound with that AA at the top. I'm new to resophonic and any tips are much appreciated.
