I was looking at it, a distortion pedal with a tube right there in the pedal... it seemed very interesting... and I read a review for it in a magazine. and they pretty much said it was really good. but has anyone actually had any experience with it? it seems a very good price at $99... but is it really as good as it sounds? it sounds too good to be true. so, anyone have any experience with this, or any other rocktron equipment?
Anyone have any experience with a Rocktron Silver Dragon Distortion

Yup Ive had the Silver Dragon for a few weeks now...I use it mostly in the "slayer" mode (tube & SS). It's a bit noisy when u start to turn the gain up past 10 oclock, but you dont really needa turn it up very far to get a good hard rock/metal distortion. I haven't got a chance to really let loose with my amp yet (apartment life has its downfalls), so my guess is that i've only scratched the surface of what it can do! But yes, i would definately recommend it.

thanks bud. now what kind of amp are you running it through? cause, since I have a solid state amp, I was hoping this would give me tube distortion without a tube-amp price...

Using a Blues Jr...I bought the pedal to use as a distortion channel since the blues jr. is single channel with that nice Fender clean sound. Havent tried it through a SS amp besides my old Crate G10 - but NOTHING sounds close to decent with that amp! ;)
