I would like to learn a few songs that require a drop C tuning.(cgcfad) I put 2 and 2 together so this is what I did. I started off at regular then tuned it to drop d, then tuned the rest down so its regular from the dropped d, then turned the d down again so i guess its a c. I don't have a tuner or piano and can't make it to the store for 2 weeks since I'm only 16. Did I do it right, if not please correct me and explain how I get dropped c tuning starting from dropped d or regular tuning.

You did it right...The low string on top is dropped 2 steps, and the rest are dropped 1 step...great tuning by the way, that's the tuning we use in my band.
Check out my band:

I'm a fan of the Drop-C tuning... even though I like Drop-Db better... but whatever.. umm. I would get some heavier strings if I were you... I like GHS boomers... they are perfect for tuning down becuase they offer some pretty heavy gauges (I got 12-52's on my guitar) and they are good for metal, which I guess is what you are playing because Drop-C is definately best for that...
