does the quality of the pick-ups from my guitar influences the hammer-ons?

I'm trying to learn tho solo from "paranoid", black sabbath version. It has a part with a lot of hammer-ons that i can't do. After much time pf practicing, i play every note with the pick, but it doesn't sound the same. Does the quality of the pickups influences the quality of the hammer-ons?

The pickups are a big thing, but how long have you been playing? How distorted are you.

Distortion can easily solve your probolem, but if your on gain level 10 and nothing is happening, then maybe it is your pickups.

Or maybe your not hammering on strong enough

try some hammer on exercises, slowly to build up your finger strength. play a chromaticly hammering on between each finger to increase your strength
