if I want to get a new amp~ what kind should I get for
heavy metal sound? a Marshall? or a Mesa Boggie?

It depends on what kind of tone you want from your rig. Personally, I don't like Limp Bizkit's tone. But Wes uses Mesa/Boogie. That's a poor example of what Mesa/Boogies' can actually do, though. I'd say that you'd better play on both amps and mess around with the settings until you find your own tone. Then you can decide which is best for you.

Hi

if you want a great amp with a great tone for metal, please try the peavey 5150 amp.
It's the one that Edward Van Halen uses (and not only him, check out the peavey website to see which artists are using the amp)
The 5150 exists in combo and head/stack.
It's an all tube amp of (i think) 60 watts, but it sounds like a massive wall of distortion.
