I've been thinking about having my Music Man EVH re-fretted. The frets are not worn, but they are too small. I like a wider and taller fret than what's on it. Anyway, how big of a chance am I taking having this guitar re-fretted? I know, it's a collector's guitar and it would not be original anymore, but I'm not a collector, I'm a player..

Anyone have any horror stories about re-fretting?
Check out my band:

Before you submit your axe for a re-fret job, get a look at some of the work done by the tech. You should also talk to some previous customers. A tech or luthier should be able to put you in touch with some clients unless they're hiding something.
