I got a gibson sg recently i love the sound and feel but i have problems with feedback and it sounds bad through my little amp but great through a good tube-but a good tube is beyond my grasp financially

so i could get new emg pickups, new gibson pickups like the ones on a standard les paul

or i could wait and get the new amp in a while-i may need the new amp to since im now in a band and oplanning to play live
Alas for I am Jay! Reviver of very, very old threads!

yo dude defiantly go for the big amp deal. you cant paly with that mini 15 watt on stage. get like 60 watts or so. i sound really good through my amp and i dont have the greatest pickups. get a new amp fo sho
Give me fuel, give me fire, give me that which I desire

If you liked the tone through another amp , this means that the current pickups are good for your tonal tastes.
