Who is it?

Idk you might be unique, but if there is one player in the universe that you sound like who is it? This DOES NOT mean you can play with the same type of greatness or non greatness as them though.

Mine would be across between Van Halen and Satiani. I like to play Legato style with many slides and pull-offs/ hammer-ons. But I also do alot of tapping. Bu whenever I play it sounds like some 70's/80's metal solo.

How bout you guys/girls?

Jimmy Page meets David Gilmour with a dash of Angus Young. Every now and then, some EVH/Yngwie-style sneaks out, but I try to control it.

So, basically, it's frantic pentatonic stuff with a few notes with some thought behind them.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

hopefully, Jon Schaffer (Iced Earth) and Alexi Laiho (Children of Bodom) trying to get a good combination of rhytm and lead.
To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

Rhythm-wise I sound a bit like Eric Johnson, I think... he's one of my bigger influences.

Lead-wise, I don't know; I have too many influences...
"You must stab him in the heart with the Bone Saber of Zumacalis... well, you could stab him in the head or the lungs, too... and the saber, it probably doesn't have to be bone, just anything sharp lying around the house... you could poke him with a pillow and kill him."

I always liked SRV's way of making Blues sound more rock and rollish and still having the same feel of bluesyness. Or then maybe the way Juan Serrano plays guitar with brilliance. I can immediatly tell its them if I here them.

Well most people tell me I sound a lot like a cross between Petrucci, and Vai. But I say it isn't possible, since I'm 13.
Go Petrucci!! Ra-ra Vai!! Die 182!! ****ers...

Hmph.

I actually did notice that, but it was too late. I think what threw me off was how the original poster named two himself.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

I'd definately have to say Slash. I spent the first three years of my guitarin' trying so hard to cop his style that it's just kinda there with me now. I've since moved on, but anytime I do some improv whilst jammin' with some buds a dreamy slash-esqe pent run will come out (maybe i should take the "slash" patch out of my RP300 lol, it's the first to load up when I plug the thing in). I'm movin' on though, now I'm trying to tackle Eric Johnson's tone.... it's to die for.
Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.

I find it impossible to pick just one guitarist as I've spent years trying to emulate bits of so many people's playing. I guess I'd have to say Slash with touches of Alex Lifeson, Dave Murray and Eric Johnson - it was him who inspired me to switch to Fender guitars which was the best choice i've made as a guitarist.
