In this tutorial we'll explore another type of chord called a major 7 chord. Even though this chord also has the number 7 in its name, the sound of it is drastically different from the bluesy dominant 7 chords we explored in the previous tutorial. Major 7 chords don't have any bluesy tension, but more of an emotionally ambiguous rainy day vibe. However you choose to describe them, it's a beautiful and very common type of chord, so let's get started!
