Now it's time to explore the next level of using double stops in your country soloing. It is possible to use these licks with regular flat picking, but they definitely sound more Country when you use combine your pick and your right hand fingers.
This technique is called “Hybrid Pickingâ€, and it will require a great deal of focus, while you're trying to learn the new double stop licks.
But try to see it as simply killing two birds with one stone. We're practicing an important right hand technique, while learning some new exciting country licks. These licks are most likely going to be very challenging for you, so we're going to wait trying to improvise with them until the very last lesson. Right now the most important thing is to get these licks and right hand techniques under your control.
