CMaj7

First let's turn our basic C major chord into a major 7 chord. So here we have our basic open C chord. Now all we have to do is lift off our index finger on the B string, so it rings open.

Remember when we had our F major chord made-easy? I told you it had a fancy name, and this is it: it's an F major 7 chord.

Now let's try this in a simple example, where we go C with a whole note for 1 bar. Then we lift off our index finger and make it a C major 7.
Then after that we'll go to our F major 7 chord and do that for 2 bars with whole notes as well.
