Rhythm Riff 1: Lesson

AC/DC rhythm riffs form the foundation of their songs. They often used as many open chords as possible in the riffing, while avoiding thirds in low registers. And their use of rhythmic space in between the chord crunches & punches made for a heavy sound, giving each chord more impact that contrasts with the silence in between. This is classic AC/DC - making the chords sound heavier just by adding sonic space. Malcolm is always highly rhythmic & locked in with the bass & drums.
