Any acoustic guitar can be used to play this tune, but one with a brighter tone would cut through the band mix a bit better. Place a capo at the 5th fret.

Any electric guitar is suitable to play this tune. Select the bridge pickup and roll the tone control down to 50% for a more muted tone. You'll need a slide to play the electric guitar parts.

As far as amps go, any Fender style tube amp is a desirable choice. Set up the amp for a clean tone. Set the Drive to 40%, Bass to 45%, Mid to 55%, Treble to 60%, and Presence to 65%.

Add some reverb to all guitars for depth.

On the acoustic, I'm using a 12-56 gage with heavy pick to dig right into those strums.

On the electric, I'm using 10-46 gage with a heavy pick to play those slide parts with authority.

Here are the settings I used:

Fender Deluxe Model:
Drive: 40% Bass: 45% Mid: 55% Treb: 60% Presence: 65%
Spring Reverb:
WetDryMIX: 45%
