Guitar 1 is a Telecaster electric guitar set for the bridge pickup. Guitar 2 is a Les Paul guitar, set to the bridge position humbucker for a thicker, powerful sound. That said, any electric guitar can be used to play this song. The tones have more to do with the amp and effect choices and settings.

As far as amps go, any Fender-style tube amp is a fine choice. Set the amp for a medium crunch sound. Set the Drive to 75%, Bass to 45%, Mid to 45%, Treble to 70%, and Presence to 75%.

For effects, Guitar 1 uses a slapback echo that gives a country vibe to the tune. Guitar 2 uses a treble booster to give more saturation and sustain for the leads. Add some reverb for depth.

I used a 10-46 string gage, with a heavy pick so I can dig right into those licks and fills nicely.

Here are the settings I used:

Fender Deluxe Model:
Drive: 75% Bass: 45% Mid: 45% Treb: 70% Presence: 75%
Slapback Echo (Guitar 1):
Time: 100ms Feedback: 10% Wet/DryMIX: 25%
Treble Booster (Guitar 2):
Gain: 75% Tone: 50%
Spring Reverb:
WetDryMIX: 45%
