Description

In the previous lessons you've seen how great it sounds to use open strings when improvising on acoustic guitar. This of course only works in certain keys, but that's where the capo comes in handy. In this lesson we'll explore how you can use a capo to change the key of your open position lead vocabulary.

I hope this tutorial has given you a good idea of how to use the acoustic guitar in a lead context. A lot of the acoustic lead vocabulary will of course overlap with your regular electric lead vocabulary, but now you have some little tricks to throw in with it that really utilizes the sound of the acoustic guitar. Remember that this mostly comes down to using open strings, so anytime you're soloing on acoustic guitar you should try and do that as much as possible. Have fun with it!
